My IEP consultant repairs the collaborative relationship when trust has been broken between the parent, school team, and district staff.

I facilitate communication between parents and district personnel to improve the quality of relationships in reaching a consensus. I assist parents with the understanding of IDEA and parental rights/responsibilities to successfully navigate the special education process. I also offer small group professional development sessions on how to conduct effective facilitated IEP /504 meetings and conflict prevention and intervention strategies.

My I.E.P. Consultant services can be considered an IEP service provision to help parents work more effectively with their child and acquire the skills to support the implementation of their child’s IEP.

As a special education expert, I consult on individual cases to find effective solutions and assist school leaders in meeting their special education initiatives and site-based administrative needs.
